With tea rooms filled with decadent cakes, plants for sale and special events and outdoor theatre throughout the year, Furzey Gardens is a destination for everyone, but we’d heard so much about the magic in their gardens we had to send some reviewers to find out if it was as special as people claim.
“This is the ideal space for families!” said the Mum of our reviewer family.

From the moment you enter and are handed a map and the challenge to find as many fairy houses as you can, the children are off down winding paths looking high and low for the hidden magic. You could easily spend hours in this peaceful haven with children giggling and shouting in surprise at the dwelling they find. From mini castles, school rooms, little villages and shops, these are no simple fairy doors. Each one is more detailed and fantastic than the last and although they are more than 40 to find, it’s easy to lose track after 20.

There are picnic tables perfect for a packed lunch and if the children need even more reason to run around or have the urge to climb, there is a child size fairy village play area to enjoy and a boat to sail away in if that takes their fancy.

So what the favourite memories made by our reviewers?
“I loved the fairy cottage the best, I hope the Fairy Queen liked my letter!”
“My favourite thing were the secret tunnels at the play area, we had so much fun!”
The Furzey fairy garden is the most magical destination in the forest for families, it’s a beautiful place to spend a day for everyone, and there is nothing better than happily exhausted children who go to sleep mumbling fairy stories they’ve made up themselves during the day’s adventures.
