There are hundreds of exotic and endangered animals to meet at Marwell Zoo all within a stunning 140 acre park, from the penguins to the big cats, and the rhinos to the more scaley creatures. Managed and run by Marwell Wildlife, a charity dedicated to conservation, the focus of the zoo on educating and protecting these animals is clear at every turn.

Only closed for two days a year, the zoo is the perfect attraction all year round as you watch your favourite animal’s enclosures change with the seasons and learn about their different habits in different weather conditions. The feeding times offer a chance to watch the animals interact with their keepers and are not to be missed.

One of the best features of Marwell Zoo are the 5 adventure playgrounds for all ages of children. We’ve all been there when one sibling wants to stay and look at something and the others don’t, or worse still when they’ve all had enough for a minute and need to take a ‘blow off steam’ break. The play areas are perfectly places in-between the animal enclosures so that you can avoid meltdowns and take a minute to sit on a bench and enjoy a snack before seeing the next wild and amazing creature at the Zoo.

Marwell Zoo is the perfect place to get silly with the statues, learn so much about our favourite animals and get involved with conservation, even if you’ve been before there is always so much to see, it never loses interest for us.
