Kayaking: absolutely
Rockstar has shown kayaking in Leonida, and this one is easy to move into the real world. UK families can find beginner sessions on lakes, rivers and sheltered coastal water.
Use a qualified provider, wear the right buoyancy equipment and choose a session suitable for your child’s age and swimming confidence.
Basketball: probably the easiest one
Jason has been shown shooting hoops in GTA 6. In real life, all you need is a public court and a ball.
Turn it into a GTA-without-the-GTA challenge: ten free throws, a family HORSE game or a mission to find three different outdoor courts.
Scuba diving: possible, but do it properly
GTA 6 shows underwater exploration. Real scuba diving needs training, suitable equipment and age-appropriate instruction.
For younger children, snorkelling or a supervised pool experience can capture the underwater-explorer feeling without pretending everyone can simply strap on a tank and disappear into the sea.
Wildlife spotting: definitely
Leonida’s wildlife takes obvious inspiration from Florida. The real Everglades can be explored by airboat, kayak, canoe, hiking trail and guided boat, with alligators and an enormous range of birds among the wildlife.
In Britain, swap alligators for seals, deer, ponies, birds of prey or whatever lives near you.
Racing: yes, without the police chase
Children interested in GTA’s vehicles can try karting, cycling tracks, BMX, remote-control racing or family-friendly driving experiences depending on age.
The fun part is turning the virtual activity into something memorable rather than trying to recreate the game’s criminal context.
Make a GTA 6 real-life bingo card
Add basketball, kayaking, wildlife spotting, a beach trip, a bike ride, a new walking trail and a safe water activity. Tick them off before GTA 6 launches.
It is a slightly ridiculous challenge, but that is exactly why children might actually want to do it.
