First, define nice
No stealing. No starting fights. No frightening pedestrians. No reckless driving. No deliberately annoying wildlife. If somebody drops their shopping, we would help them if Rockstar actually gives us a button for that.
Some of those interactions may not exist, which is part of the experiment.
Choose the wholesome timetable
Morning gym session. Basketball before lunch. Afternoon kayaking. Scenic drive. Sunset at the beach.
Rockstar has shown enough leisure activities that Jason or Lucia could potentially have a surprisingly respectable day.
Can you be nice during the story?
That is where the challenge probably collapses. Rockstar describes the main story as a criminal conspiracy involving Jason and Lucia, and its official character pages are full of robbery, smuggling and other adult crime.
A completely peaceful full playthrough therefore looks very unlikely.
Can you be nice outside the story?
Open-world freedom is the more interesting question. Can players ignore missions for long stretches and simply explore Leonida?
Rockstar’s footage suggests plenty of optional-looking activities, but the finished game will tell us how freely they can be accessed.
Why this is actually a useful parent angle
It demonstrates the difference between an open world and the game’s intended story. Yes, a player may be able to spend time doing harmless things.
No, that does not turn the overall game into children’s entertainment. The adult context remains part of Leonida even when the player is behaving.
