Care Bears
Collectible Plush
3 mins
Care Bears and Hello Kitty and Friends might just be one of the cutest collaborations we’ve seen. The two colourful worlds have come together for a new plush collection, with the characters dressing up as their new besties.
Rather than simply putting the two brands next to each other, the collection actually mixes their designs. My Melody dresses up as Share Bear, Cinnamoroll becomes Love-A-Lot Bear and Harmony Bear gets a Kuromi makeover. There’s also a special two-pack bringing Cheer Bear and Hello Kitty together, with each one dressed in the other’s style.
It’s the little details that make the crossover work. The familiar colours, costumes and Care Bears belly badges make it easy to spot both characters in each design, and there’s something very funny and cute about seeing such recognisable favourites swapping looks.
The plushes are soft and cuddly enough to be played with normally, but we can definitely see these becoming display collectibles too. Kids who already collect Care Bears or Hello Kitty and Friends can add something completely different to their collection, while older fans may be just as tempted to put them on a shelf.
There are different characters and sizes available across the range. Individual plushes include My Melody as Share Bear, Cinnamoroll as Love-A-Lot Bear and Harmony Bear as Kuromi, while the wider collection also includes some smaller 22cm designs.
They’re recommended for ages four and over, so there’s nothing complicated about the play value here β they’re essentially lovely cuddly toys. What makes them special is the crossover itself.
If your child already loves either Care Bears or Hello Kitty and Friends, there’s plenty to like. If they happen to love both, choosing which one to take home might be the hardest part.
Care Bears and Hello Kitty and Friends work ridiculously well together.
Each plush combines recognisable features from both characters.
They're proper soft plush toys rather than just display collectibles.
Different character pairings mean everyone can pick their favourite crossover.
