It may only be September, but the Christmas toy lists have started.
Argos has revealed the 20 toys it expects to dominate Christmas wishlists in 2026. This year’s selection mixes film favourites, interactive toys, creative play and nostalgia.
KPop Demon Hunters hits the toy box
Argos has included KPop Demon Hunters Golden Singing Dolls. Rumi, Mira and Zoey each cost £35. Each doll sings “Golden”, and children can sync the trio for group harmonisation.
Toy Story 5 gets a giant Bullseye
The Toy Story 5 Bullseye Jumbo Plush costs £50. It uses styling from the latest film and focuses on cuddly play rather than electronics.
PAW Patrol goes enormous
The Dino Movie Megasaurus Dino Vehicle costs £60. Its standout feature is a dinosaur that automatically inflates to 76.2cm tall at the press of a button.
That gives it Christmas-morning impact. However, parents may want to think about storage before a three-quarter-metre dinosaur moves into the living room.
Peppa learns to ride
Ready Pedal Peppa costs £30 and gives children more than 75 sounds and phrases. Kids can help Peppa learn to ride her bike and customise it with stickers.
Should parents buy now?
A prediction list does not guarantee that every toy will sell out. So, there is no need to panic-buy in September.
However, these lists show which characters and trends retailers expect children to ask for. They can also help parents spread the cost if they already know what their child wants.
