Something spooky is stirring at Moors Valley this Halloween…
Now in its third year, the popular Halloween trail will run for ten nights from Friday 23 October until Sunday 1 November 2026, with several brand-new experiences joining the trail this year.
As darkness falls, visitors will head into the forest where lights, shadows, theatrical characters and immersive scenes transform the familiar woodland into something altogether spookier.
And even if you’ve visited before, there will be plenty you haven’t seen.
What’s new for Halloween 2026?
This year’s trail introduces several new encounters along the route.
Visitors can make an appointment with the rather sinister Demon Barber, attempt to find their way through a Carnivorous Garden, and witness a mysterious Forest Ritual taking place among the trees.
Exactly what happens during each encounter is being kept under wraps – which is probably part of the fun.
The experience combines Moors Valley’s natural woodland setting with lighting, live characters and immersive attractions, so the forest itself becomes part of the Halloween adventure.
Is Halloween at Moors Valley scary for children?
This is probably the big question for parents!
The trail has been designed so families can choose an entry time depending on how spooky they want their experience to be.
The trail opens from 4pm, with earlier sessions offering a fun, atmospheric Halloween experience suitable for younger visitors.
As the evening gets later – and the forest gets darker – the scare factor is ramped up for older children and thrill seekers.
The final entry is at 9pm, and tickets are sold in timed entry slots.
That makes the earlier sessions worth considering if you have younger children who love Halloween but aren’t quite ready to have things jumping out at them in a dark forest!
Halloween food and treats
There’ll be plenty of suitably spooky food available along the trail too.
The Halloween menu includes creations such as the Pumpkin King Burger, Grave Digger and Frankenstein’s Finger, alongside children’s meals and meat-free options.
And particularly good news for Kidspeak families: gluten-free options will be available too.
For something sweet, there’ll be marshmallow cones covered in chocolate or toffee sauce, as well as hot chocolate to warm everyone up during an autumn evening in the forest.
