Using only a handful of ingredients, they are super easy to make and are ready in 30 minutes. They go so well with our amazing peach ice tea recipe too.

You can also make extra and freeze them for another day, all you have to do is double the ingredients! they can be defrosted and served cold or reheat them in the microwave until hot and make a meatball sub.

Spaghetti & Meatballs Recipe

Ingredients

  • 6 pork sausages
  • 750g beef mince
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • A large bunch flat-leaf parsley, finely chopped
  • 50g parmesan, grated (optional)
  • 60g fresh breadcrumbs (gf option)
  • 1 egg, beaten with a fork
  • olive oil, for frying
  • spaghetti, to serve (about 75g per person)
  • 700g Meatball sauce (ready made)

Directions

  1. To make the meatballs. Split the skins of the sausages and squeeze out the meat into a large mixing bowl or tupperwear.
  2. Add the mince, onion, parsley, parmesan, breadcrumbs, the beaten egg and add salt and pepper. Get your hands in and mix together well.
  3. Make even sized balls with the mixture, and place on grease proof paper.
  4. Add olive oil to a large hot pan and place the meatballs in and cook on a low to medium heat (turning frequently) for 15 minutes or until cooked, drain any excess oil and add the meatball sauce and cook for a further 2 minutes.
  5. Boil water in a large pan and add the spaghetti and cook on high heat for 15 minutes or until cooked through.
  6. Drain the cooked spaghetti and separate onto individual plates or bowls and spoon on an equal amount of meatballs with sauce and serve.
